The Upheaval

I love this.  I’m sorry.  There’s nothing like a watching a
good ass whooping on a sucker that deserves it.  Pulling
out a deuce deuce trying to flex is what makes this world
weak.  Every once and a while you gotta use your hands.
At all the other times, be peace.
Shout out to the homie J over at publikhair for the goods

Kriss Kross

I’ve been taking a break from blogging (if you haven’t noticed).
Been working on things that hopefully other bloggers will write
about. But in the mean time, here’s some magic: Kris Kross
on “In Living Color.” Does it get any better? Nope. My good
friend Ryan Lewis (whose 21) didn’t know who Kris Kross was.
I feel old. And lucky to have grown up in a time with YO! MTV
RAPS, the golden era and Hyper Color. Respect…

Made In America

http://www.wisevid.com/view_video.php?viewkey=779dcd219b9dfaa1195a#

This is one of, if not THE most important documentary I’ve ever seen.  Made in America.  The name says it all.
Please click the link, save an hour and a half and watch this.

A couple months ago I was in LA and the homie Jon Kim
played me some unmixed cuts from this dude. I was pretty
impressed from the jump. The whole thing is produced by
Exile, and the tracks were pretty impressive. I think he has
a lot of potential, and is in the right circle of people. Def
check for this when it drops in September.

Clockwork "Hold On"

This video is really fucking impressive.  Only watched it
once so far, but damn!  It’s kinda deep son.  It was my
birfday when they shot this, and I kinda wish now that I
would have made the shoot.  Whoever directed it is
good at their life.  Shout out to Ike, Mike and Chris.  Really
good work fellas.

*and Ike dressing up as a homeless dude FTW!

Shoes I want, but don’t rap enough to get

I love Clarks. Well, I love Wallabees.

The whole middle rack + top right is brilliant. There’s nothing like them. Probably never will be. For my Seattlites that read this blog, anyone remember Church’s? (across the street from Nike Town). Their closing sale was the greatest thing that ever happened to any Wu-Tang lover besides Wu-tang.

Do I even need to say anything? Nope. But fuck it. Jordan 6’s. Yea. To someone who didn’t grow up with the shoe, I can understand not liking the silhouette. But I know what they feel like. I know what they smell like. And I know how hard they are to find.

I think I loose. “Jordan Song” coming soon…

For some Japanese guy appropriating the Natives and making kicks out of their Moccasins, this dude did a pretty great job. Then again at $400, he receives a GTFOH stamp of “Not in our Country!” Alright, unless you live in NYC, have enough money to buy $18 gin and tonics on the reg, live in a 2 bedroom apartment in the village by yourself and spend money on excessive beautiful things others hate you for.
The Louie Vatton whatevers. They’re too expensive for anyone with a conscious. But Ye killed these.
Now these might find their way to my feet when they arrive in August. Had em in the first grade.

There’s this thing called nostalgia, and it’s kicking in heavy right now. I remember I use to be the kid who was cool enough to play 4 square with the 5th graders. Well, cool enough until they hit puberty the next year and treated me like bitch, regardless of what shoes I had.
These are ganka hard. Unfortunately they will never make it to Nordstrom’s rack.
