Ahhh. I remember this. I had little idea why I was downtown chanting “this is what democracy looks like,” high on 2nd hand tear gas, skipping school and wearing an Eddie Bower windbreaker. Nonetheless, It was an extremely exhilarating time in Seattle. It gave the people a VOICE. It stuck it to the MAN! And more importantly it gave all us hippy, slam poetry/rappers a bunch of ambiguous spiritual/lyrical content we would go on to exploit for the next couple years.

Ryan taught me a little photoshop a couple weeks ago. I’m LOVING it. Sometimes the writing/rapping/music becomes stagnant, but you still want to have a creative outlet. I think I found another one. This isn’t done, is a little rough and the font is questionable. But whatever. It’s art…

We would like to apologize to all of those searching for the VS. EP, not knowing where to find it or when it will be available digitally. We now have answers (for real). The VS. EP will be available at Myspace.com/Macklemore, Myspace.com/RyanLewisMusic and BengalYucky.com on Tuesday 12/15/09. That is less than a week away. It will be worth the wait – the digital release will feature a song the hard-copy does not have and newly mastered editions of known tracks. Check back in these coming days as we will be posting pictures and video footage from the EP Release Party at Nectar and information on our recording studio opening up to musicians.
