I was cleaning out the basement today and came across an old box of CD’s. A bunch were CDR’s from my early Roland VS-880/MPC days. A lot of people don’t know I use to make beats, and from time to time still do. Nowadays I’m more like Dr. Dre in the background yelling at Ryan “yea, do THAT shit!” Here’s a couple random ones that never got used from back in the good old days. Before Computers. Before Condoms. Before “Slaps”.
This was made around 03′/04′ when I was wanted to be a baby Vitamin. I can hear Karim rapping on this. My SCSI drive broke on the MP and I was left with this 2 track. I always wanted to remake it, but you know how that goes. The chops and the pocket is still kinda fresh…minus the midget bass. There was another part of different chops that got lost. RIP.

I made this in 99′/2000 when I first got my MPC. The name says it all. If Timbo got hired to do the soundtrack for BIG (Tom Hanks), was stuck mixing on broken headphones, got high, and never finished the beat it would sound like this.
Was did this around 03′/04′. I planned on it being on “The Language Of My World,” but I couldn’t write to it. Worked on it for too long and lost inspiration.

kudos. My favorite is Loving You.
You play the basslines too? Or Budo?
Fuck Ben, I miss you, I miss your beats, and I still have some unreleased ** for posting.
I played the bass on all of these. Budo is the man when it comes to the basslines though.
thanks meens
